Empowering parents of children with intellectual disabilities

When a family learns their child has an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD),
Parents often feel alone, anxious and non-acceptance of the child.
PID creates a supportive community where parents share experiences, develop skills and capability to support their children’s futures.
Through parent-led initiatives in Bangalore Urban and Rural, Channapatna, Tumkur, Koppal, and Goa, we’re transforming them to be enabled and empowered.
Currently we work with over 500 individuals and families through building series of activities to help them to become independent, skill development to support them to become contributing members.
We conduct workshops and vocational training initiatives and an eco system to ensure greater opportunity for their growth and development.
