Parents Movement for Inclusive Development (PMID) is a movement of parents of children
with intellectual disability. It is a movement driven by them with the assistance of others viz.
institutions, professionals, government and others.
Parents often find themselves stressed, anxious and overwhelmed accepting and engaging
with a special child. One of the best ways to overcome is to connect with other parents so
they can be more comfortable with themselves and thus more effective parents.
